TECNATOM
Presentation
TECNATOM S.A is owned by the most important Spanish electricity utilities and provides specialist engineering services. Its activities focus mainly on the training of plant operating and maintenance personnel and on technical support for plant operation, as well as on pre-operational and in-service inspections and testing, the aim being to improve the availability, efficiency and economy of the facilities. The company currently houses simulators, laboratories, inspection equipment and the entire infrastructure required for efficient performance of the functions assigned by the owner companies.
The mission of the Safety, Operation and Training Division (SOTD) is to ensure that electricity-generating plants in operation or undergoing decommissioning, as well as other industrial facilities have optimally qualified operations, maintenance, engineering and technical support personnel whose performance serves to improve safety, availability and economic efficiency.
The Radwaste and Decommissioning organisation belonging to the SOTD involved in INNO4GRAPH has several references in the management of historic and operational radioactive waste, the development of new systems for radiological characterisation, engineering for NORM waste treatment and disposal as well as consultation services in the field of decontamination and waste minimisation.
Role in the Project
Within INNO4GRAPH, TECNATOM will develop the training programme definition together with CEA by also taking into account inputs from the consortium. TECNATOM will provide the Learning Management System (LMS) platform to support the Knowledge Management, led by CEA.
TECNATOM believes decommissioning projects will benefit from having a competent workforce, which shall be trained in the new technologies and techniques developed in Inno4Graph.

Tomas Recio
Master Engineer
Currently, Tomas holds the Radioactive Waste and Decommissioning Operations Manager position. Mr. Recio holds a degree in Applied Physics by the University of Valencia (Spain), and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering by the Spanish School for Industrial Organization (EOI, Madrid, Spain). Tomas has a long career as Project Manager in different areas related to radioactive waste management, nuclear decommissioning activities, radiation protection, nuclear emergency preparedness and other connected fields.
Jesus Ruiz
Project Engineer
Currently, Jesus is responsible for the technological developments and innovation in the field of radioactive waste and decommissioning. Jesus holds a degree in Industrial Engineering (MEng) by the University of Cantabria (Spain). He has a long career as training instructor and project engineer specialized in radioactive waste management, radiological characterization, radiation protection and decommissioning.
Asun Díaz
Project engineer in the field of radioactive waste and decommissioning services
Asun holds a degree in Chemistry by the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). She has a long career as project engineer in different areas related to radioactive waste management and nuclear decommissioning activities. She has been acting 11 years as project engineer in Spanish decommissioning projects on site.
